Welcome to the 2025-2026 SouthSide Crew Auditions! Are you ready to show how YOU are true to the South side? We are searching for dynamic, professional and diversely talented dancers to represent the College Park Skyhawks both on and off the court. Let’s see what you’ve got!

OPEN CALL DETAILS

  • After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for Round One Virtual Audition submission videos. 
    • All Round One videos are due by 5pm on June 26th.

    SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

    • Your video must be filmed in landscape (horizontal) orientation.
    • Introduction (required)
      • State your full name
      • Tell us where you live.
      • Share why you want to be a member of the SouthSide Crew.


    WHAT TO WEAR FOR YOUR VIRTUAL VIDEO SUBMISSION?

    • Attire: Athletic wear (any colors)
      • Women: sports bra, bra top, briefs/shorts, or legging
      • Men: Joggers, running tights, yoga pants with tank top or t-shirt
      • Shoes: tennis or jazz shoes. NO bare feet.
      • Feel free to express your personal style; Refrain from wearing anything distracting or anything that could cause injury such as large earrings or necklaces.
      • Performance ready appearance is expected. No ponytails.
      • Take pride in your appearance. You are applying/auditioning for a job. Pay attention to details so that you look and feel your best and are confident in the first impression that you are making.


    WHAT’S NEXT

    ROUND 2 AND BEYOND

    SEMIFINALS

    In person July 6-7, 2025

      • Details will be sent via email on June 29th to those selected for semi-finals
      • All necessary details will be given to those invited via email, but these dates will include interviews, dance classes, photos, and team building activities.

      FINALISTS

      Once selected for the final round, participants will be expected to be present at all events.

      • Finalists Announcement via Instagram July 7, 2025
      • Finals Bootcamp July 8 - 11, 2025
      • Finals Showcase Rehearsal July 12, 2025
      • Finals Showcase July 13, 2025

      GENERAL TEAM INFO

      MINIMUM TEAM REQUIREMENTS

          The Basics

        • Must be at least 19 years of age prior to auditioning.
        • Must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D.
        • Must have a part-time or full-time job or be an actively enrolled student.
        • Must be able to attend rehearsals at least 2 days a week.


        WHAT THE JUDGES ARE LOOKING FOR

        Tips for Success

        • Attributes such as poise, showmanship, professionalism, dance skills, potential, enthusiasm, and personality.
        • A successful member of our team is entertaining and exciting to watch.
        • Individuals who carry themselves with maturity, grace, and confidence and exhibit the ability to talk to a wide variety of ages and backgrounds.
        • Tumbling experience, a plus but not required.


        ONCE YOU MAKE THE TEAM

           What to Expect

        • Practices will begin in September
        • Practices will typically be held Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights from 6:00pm - 10:00pm.
        • Dancers receive and hourly rate for all related events including games, rehearsals, and appearances.
        • In addition to practices, games and appearances, dancers are expected to participate in clinics, photo shoots, video shoots and other events.
        • This is a job. You are paid to be a team player, work hard, and represent our organization well. A passion for dance, discipline to constantly achieve high standards, and dedication to maintain job requirements are highly valued traits. A great work ethic and a positive attitude are necessary for success.
        • SouthSide Crew members are ambassadors for our organization and the community. Being a role model is a responsibility. All Skyhawks employees are held to high standards and are expected to represent themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the team and our organization.
