Flight Crew, Live Entertainment and Production - Atlanta Hawks & State Farm Arena (Atlanta, GA)

A summary of the Flight Crew role: The Hawks are looking for outgoing, engaging, and professional candidates to apply for the Atlanta Hawks Flight Crew team.  The Flight Crew is a group of brand ambassadors, entertainers, tumblers, drummers, skaters, and break dancers who use their unique personalities and talents to promote the Hawks brand at home games and in the community. This group falls under the Entertainment department (ENT), which falls under the larger umbrella of the Live Entertainment and Production (LEP) team.

There are two main focuses of the Flight Crew. The first is in game entertainment. During Hawks home games Flight Crew’s role is to help enhance fan experience at State Farm arena primarily on the concourse and in the upper bowl (200 sections). This is done by performing, dancing, starting chants, giving away prizes, and making moments for all Hawks fans who come to State Farm arena. The second is community activations. As the brand ambassador team for the Atlanta Hawks, the Flight Crew help to bring the experience of State Farm Arena to fans around the metro Atlanta area. This includes fully crafted, Hawks branded appearances where the team has a footprint that includes any (or all) of the following: Pop-A-Shots, branded tents/signage, prizes, photo backdrops, and more. The Flight Crew engages the guests/crowd using their upbeat personalities and shares specific messaging about the Hawks, upcoming events/games, new retail offerings, and/or sales opportunities. Collectively, this team represents the Hawks at 150+ events/activations a year in addition to the Hawks 41 regular season home games and any additional playoff games.

This is a part-time seasonal role with an expected timeline of July 2026 to July 2027.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Bring the Hawks brand to life at games and activations/events by starting conversations, sharing exciting Hawks news, starting a dance party and bringing Hawks energy.

• Be an ambassador of the team by providing proactive service to fans throughout the game or event

• Take part in the pre-game parade and join in on the choreographed Flight Crew dance to entertain and pump up the crowd before the Hawks tip off

• At games, help fans understand and experience special theme nights through special activations

• Engage throughout the fans’ entire game experience - starting before they make their way into the arena and ending as they make their way outside following the game

• While working individually or with the team, generate high energy and create memories for fans and event guests

OTHER DUTIES:

• Assist in the maintenance of all Hawks events and ENT elements, signage, and prizes

• Load in/out, set up and breakdown all event needs, as a team

• Set up activations at Hawks home games on the State Farm Arena concourse

• Assist in the upkeep of Hawks vehicle fleet and storage spaces

• Attend trainings as required to cultivate a high standard of quality and safety in event and in game executions 

• Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Possess the desire to interact and engage with fans/guests of all ages and groups of all sizes (whether that is a single fan or group of 100+)

• Have consistent availability on nights and weekends to work Hawks home games and events, call time for most weeknight home games will be 5:30pm (or 2 hours before tip off)
• Strong communicator, both written (email) and verbal

• Ability to work well on a team and take feedback from leadership and teammates

• Must be able to keep track of a schedule and communicate availability and updates in a timely manner

• Performance experience in dance, tumbling, stunting, cheerleading, skating, or drumming is a plus

• Must have availability on evenings and weekends

• Ability to stand for up to 6 hours and lift up to 30 pounds

• Must have reliable transportation
